ROAD CLOSURE 2/14/2019 UPDATE: Lovejoy Road has been reOPENed!


To the voters of the Town of Lempster, in the County of Sullivan, in said State qualified to vote in Town affairs. You are hereby notified to meet at the Lempster Community School in said Lempster on Tuesday, the 12th day of March, 2019 at three thirty (3:30 P.M.) in the afternoon to open the polls for the voting of candidates, and at seven o'clock (7:00 P.M.) in the evening for the discussion of the articles of the warrant.

Per New Hampshire Voting Laws, The Supervisors of the [voter] Checklist for the Town of Lempster, NH will be in session on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 11:00am to 11:30am at the Town Office, 856 U.S. Route 10.  

This session, in accordance with New Hampshire voting statutes RSA654:27,28 provides an opportunity for town voters to make any changes to their voting information prior to the next election.

The next elections will be:

• Lempster School District, Sat. March 9
Polls open at 4:00pm, Meeting at 6:00pm

• Lempster Town Election, Tues. March 12
Polls open at 3:30pm, Meeting at 7:00pm


Notice is hereby given that the Town of Lempster Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing February 5, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Lempster Town Office, 856 Rte. 10, Lempster, NH to present and discuss the proposed 2019 budget and warrant articles.

The public is encouraged to attend.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Lempster Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing February 5, 2019 at 6:30 PM at the Lempster Town Office, 856 Rte. 10, Lempster, NH to receive public input on the issuance of bonds or notes over $100,000 for the purchase of a highway truck with plow equipment.

Selectmen’s meeting will follow. The public is encouraged to attend.

Trustee of Trust Funds (3 yrs.) 1 position
Supervisor of the Checklist (5 yrs.) 1 position
Filing period begins Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 8 am through Friday, February 1, 2019 from 8 am to noon and 3 pm to 5 pm. Interested parties need to appear in person at the Town Clerk’s office to complete an application of Candidacy.
