Approved Minutes April 4, 2017

Members present: Jim Beard, Sue Lichty, Andria Elliot

The meeting was called to order by the chair, Jim Beard at 6:01 pm.

Minutes:  The minutes of the February 1, 2017 meeting were approved with a motion by Jim and second by Andria.  All were in favor.  We had no March regular meeting due to a snow storm, however we held a special meeting on March 6, 2017.

Treasurer’s Report:  Balance in the Lake Sunapee account was $19,368.76 as of

1-31-17.  A motion was made by Sue, second by Jim to approve the treasurer’s report.  All were in favor.  CD of $4182.35, will auto-renew on 4-8-17.

Jon was present as a Friends of the Library member to let us know that we would not have signs for Green-up day, due to them being used for a 250th Tea at the Library.

Forest Notes Winter 2016-17

NH The Beautiful-Litter Free NH, delivered 3 boxes of blue bags, they are being stored at the Town Office.

Intents to cut:

Map 217/Lot 018,  Owner Onnela, logger A&G, 6 of 22 acres

Old Business:

Swift is ready to start marking the Long Pond Town Forest trail and prepare for the logging.

Green up day will be held on April 29, 2017, from 9-12.  We will meet at the school to start.

New Business:

Lake Host program, Jim heard from the Sand Pond folks regarding this year's program.  Jim made a motion to contribute $1500 to the Sand Pond Lake Host Program this year, second by Andria. Payment to be made to NH Lakes Assoc.  All were in favor.

We discussed the Camp scholarship, Jim will talk to Mr. Peterson at the school.  We agreed that to send 2 children would be ideal.

We reviewed the tools recently purchased for trail work and apple pruning, ($500 already voted on at Special Meeting)  Jim made a motion to spend an additional $160.19, second by Andria.  All were in favor.  Reimbursement to be made to Sue (94.27) and Andria (565.92).  Andria will do an inventory of our tools.

Andria and Sue recently attended a Salamander Crossing Brigade session in Keene.  They hope to do some salamander saving this season.

Jim and Sue were nominated to continue on the board, a note was sent to the selectboard.

Wildlife sightings-lots of turkeys, deer

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 6pm.
